Description

Gentiana cruciata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 231. 1753.

"Habitat in Pannoniae, Apenninorum, Helvetiae montosis apricis." RCN: 1885.

Lectotype (Hartvig in Strid & Kit Tan, Mountain Fl. Greece 2: 5. 1991): Herb. Linn. No. 328.40 (LINN).

Current name: Gentiana cruciata L. (Gentianaceae).

Note: In what was clearly a typographic error, Hartvig referred to the type as sheet “338.40” rather than “328.40”.
