Lectotype (Amich & López González in Jarvis & al., Regnum Veg. 127: 27. 1993): Löfling 138a , Herb. Linn. No. 168.1 (LINN).
Generitype of Bufonia Linnaeus.
Current name: Bufonia tenuifolia L. (Caryophyllaceae).
