Rhamnus zizyphus Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 194. 1753.

Lectotype (Kirkbride & al. in Taxon 55: 1050. 2006): Herb. Burser XXIII: 50 (UPS)
Current name: Ziziphus jujuba Mill. (Rhamnaceae).
Note: Kirkbride & al. typified this name as part of a proposal to conserve Ziziphus jujuba Mill. against Ziziphus zizyphus (L.) H. Karst., the latter otherwise being the little used, but correct, name for this taxon.
