Replaced synonym: Myrtus communis L. var. acutifolia L. (1753).

Type not designated.

Original material: as replaced synonym.

Current name: Myrtus sp. (Myrtaceae).

Note: An illegitimate replacement name for M. communis var. acutifolia L. (1753), the validating diagnosis of which is cited in the synonymy of var. lusitanica. The application of both names appears uncertain.
