Description

Mimosa cornigera Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 520. 1753.

"Habitat in Mexico, Cuba." RCN: 7680.

Lectotype (Rudd in Madroño 17: 199. 1964): Herb. Clifford: 208, Mimosa 4 (BM-000628753; iso- US).

Current name: Acacia cornigera (L.) Willd. (Fabaceae: Mimosoideae).

Note: Janzen (in Smithsonian Contr. Bot. 13: 26. 1974) reports a fragment of the type at US.
