Description
Hyssopus nepetoides Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 569. 1753.
"Habitat in Virginia, Canada." RCN: 4167.
Lectotype (Sanders in Jarvis & al. in Taxon 50: 512. 2001): Herb. Clifford: 316, Brunella 2 (BM-000646158).
Current name: Agastache nepetoides (L.) Kuntze (Lamiaceae).
Note: Although Epling (in J. Bot. 67: 8. 1929) discussed the original elements for the name, and treated the Clifford element (BM) as the "standard specimen", this is not equivalent to a type statement (see Jarvis & al. in Taxon 50: 508. 2001).
