Description
Hordeum murinum Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 1: 85. 1753.
"Habitat in Europae locis ruderatis." RCN: 716.
Lectotype (Baum & Jarvis in Taxon 34: 529, f. 1. 1985): Herb. Clifford: 24, Hordeum 3 (BM-000557673).
Current name: Hordeum murinum L. subsp. murinum (Poaceae).
Note: Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 195. 1975) stated "Type: …LINN”, this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000).
