Lectotype (Abedin in Nasir & Ali, Fl. W. Pakistan 130: 13. 1979): Herb. Linn. No. 875.24 (LINN, see below, left; iso- S).

Generitype of Hibiscus Linnaeus, nom. cons.

Current name: Hibiscus syriacus L. (Malvaceae).
