Description

Dolichos capensis Linnaeus, Plantae Rariores Africanae: 17. 1760.

["Habitat ad Cap. b. spei."] Sp. Pl., ed. 2, 2: 1020 (1763). RCN: 5340.

Neotype (Verdcourt in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 468. 1997): South Africa. Knysna between Keurbooms River & Bitou River, 8 Apr 1814, Burchell 5274 (K).

Current name: Rhynchosia capensis (Burm. f.) Schinz (Fabaceae: Faboideae).
