TYPE DEPOSITORY: not stated.

TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Ciechocinek, Poland, in soil of salt marsh with Salicorniae herbacea [Plantae: Amaranthaceae] and between roots of Aster tripolium (Plantae: Asteraceae). NOTE: Lindquist & Moraza (2009: 33) suspected this species to be a senior synonym of Vitzthumia spinosa Willmann.
