Description
Narcotic substances, acting on the neurotransmitter system of the brain, weaken and disrupt the conduction of nerve impulses. Anxiety and depression in opium addiction differ from those in other mental illnesses in that they are closely related to drug cravings. These clinical manifestations can be successfully stopped by the use of appropriate pharmacological preparations. Antidepressants, eliminating the imbalance of neurotransmitters, have a positive effect on psychopathological symptoms, as well as on the formation of drug remission. In particular, venlaxor (venlafaxine) inhibits the reuptake of serotonin and norepinephrine, and its use in opioid addiction for 1 month. improves the patient's quality of life. The article examines the effect of this drug on the clinical and psychopathological manifestations of opioid addiction, as well as the impact on the dynamics of the quality of life of patients during therapy.
