Fang [³文培] 4245 (holo-: A00033760!; iso-: E00275495!, E00275496!, K000859923!, NAS00070300, NY00253865!, P01903243!, PE00021928!, PE00021929!). – Note: Carpinus cordata var. mollis is accepted in Flora of China (Li & Skvortsov 1999), but it is regarded as a synonym of C. chinensis in the Flora Sichuanica (Editorial Board of the Flora Sichuanica 2012).
