DiagnosisApterae 2–4.2 mm, grey-green, olive or pale brown with darker head and thorax and two longitudinal darker stripes. Siphuncular cones small, inconspicuous. Holocyclic, monoecious on Picea. Colonies on lignified shoots and branches, on tall as well as small spruces, in summer also on subterraneous parts. Often at ground level on dwarfish spruces on sandy ground at roadsides and ditch margins. Usually antattended.
