Mulana Zafar Ali Khan is considered one of the distinguished Indian personalities of 20th century. During his whole life he served the literature and adopted journalism as a profession. He was inconsistent but he had God gifted ability of writing and poetry. He practically participated in politics and had to go to through the torture of prison. But he carried on his literal activities during prison which added valuable prosaic and poetic creations in Urdu literature. In this essay we are going to discuss about his prison life shortly and try to analyze his created prison literature. Undoubtedly, Molana Zafar Ali Khan was a great intellectual, poet, journalist and translator. "Sitar-e-Subhu" is an remarkable literally journal published and edited by Molana Zafar Ali Khan during his house arrest." |
