For the first time it was possible to produce samples recrystallized by electric molten zone and submit them to a process of solar cells formation. The deformed nature of the sample was confronted with the solar cells formation process and solutions to cope with it had to be designed. Solar cells performance and characteristics were compared relative to source material and growth parameters.
