    Abstract

The author employed the technique of anterior spinal fusion in correcting 5 cases of kyphosis caused by tuberculosis of the spine, The average amount of correction obtained was 17.8 degrees and the maximum was 30 degrees. It is suggested that the technique of anterior spinal fusion can be applied not only to the correction of kyphosis due to tuberculosis but also to the correction of kyphosis or scoliosis of non-tuberculous origin.
