Ankle and the Shoulder Multiple Neurilemmomas in the Report of a Case
Abstract
This is a case of multiple neurilemomas which affecting the medial aspect of the right ankle and the left shoulder top of a forty-three years old female. Chief complaints were foreign body sensation on the left shoulder and difficult to wear a shoe comportably due to bulky soft tissue masses with dull pain over the medial aspect of the right ankle and heel cord for 25 years duration. Examination revealed diffuse swellirig and tenderness of the medial aspect of the right ankle joint and heel cord and left shoulder top, and they shows only soft tissue swelling except an erosion on medial aspect of the distal tibia radiologically. The tumor masses, measured 4.0×3.5×3.0cm. taken from the scapular region), 6.0×5.5×5.0, 4.0×3.5×3.0, 3.0×3.0×2.0, 3.0×25×2.0, 2.5×2.0×2.0, and 2.0×1.5×1.5cm. (taken from the ankle) were removed surgically, and found to have the encapsulated and attached with periosteum. The diagnosis of the neurilemomas was confirmed by pathological study. The post-operative course has been satisfactory showing no recurrence for the period of one year and six months.
