Salmonella Osteomyelitis: Report of two cases

    Abstract

    Two cases of Osteomyelitis in the tibia and femur respectively caused by salmonella typhi D group are presented. Osteomyelitis caused by salmonella typhi D group as an etiological factor has been very rare in the publiahed literature, and none reported in Korea. A case is male and another is female patient aged 36 and 19 years respectively. The diagnosis is confirmed by bacteriological study. Satisfactory result is obtained by radical curettage and antibiotic therapy.
