Research on Dynamics Simulation of Milling Process for Frame Guide Plate Surface of Marine Diesel Engine

Article Preview

Abstract:

In order to choose milling parameters quickly, reasonably and improve milling quality, avoid vibration in milling frame part of marine diesel engine, combining the development trend of milling technology, the dynamic model for milling the guide plate surface of frame part is built, the experiment modal parameters of spindle-holder with a cutting tool and the guide plate surface are identified. Using dynamic forces and chatter lobes to build constraint conditions, so as to recommend process parameters, which can show guidance to mill the guide plate surface of frame part. Consequently, parameters choosing lied on traditional try cutting is avoided, processing cost is reduced and the chatter free material removal rate (MRR) is improved.
