The Creation of Ergonomics Database Using Ergo&Log© Analytical Application

Abstract:

Today, needs of an ergonomics rationalization and optimization of work conditions starting to be the top theme not only in Slovak republic but also in the whole central Europe. It is widely accepted that ergonomics helps to minimize the influence of risk factors which affect the creation of injuries and damage to health. Ergonomics also help to reach the higher effectiveness of human work and also the productivity of work. For the economic and all – society development is necessary step by step passing to the orientation of employees’ requirements analysis, because the employees are active in production and also in associated logistic processes. This orientation should finally lead to the direct improvement of work performance as well as to the development of employees’ intellectual capital [1]. This article is focused on introducing a database – analytical application Ergo&Log, which was created as a part of first author dissertation thesis outputs. Presented application is oriented to the identification and evaluation of employee harm and problems with musculoskeletal system. This application allows creation of databases, which are usable into the company as well as in national level and at the same time allows the realization of orientation ergonomic analysis.
