The Conference on Current Veterinary Practices aims at bringing equine veterinarians together to discuss the latest insights in veterinary surgery, medical imaging, drug treatment and horse care. In the present conference we highlight optimal use of an inertial sensor-based system for lameness examination, the use of ultrasound and X-ray for stifle imaging, and hands on dentistry in the practical afternoon session. In the late afternoon and evening we have a theoretical conference that covers objective and visual lameness examination, equine periodontal disease and an update on proximal suspensory ligament desmitis. The conference is registered with the Order of Veterinarians (KNMVD), and therefore, study points will be acquired. Partially supported by an educational grant from Eickemeyer, Orthopaedics and GST-Anacura.
