Description

      27 years old male patient presenting to the primary health care clinic with chief complaint of painful ulcer on the lower lip of 3 days duration.

      On Examination: There was Apthous ulcer measuring 07cm on the patient’s lower lip, which was provisionally diagnosed as an oral apthous ulcer.

      These photographs were taken on daily basis as a follow up and it excel in demonstrating the healing process of the apthous ulcer without the use of any topical or systemic drug.

      Discussion: As the photographs demonstrate the ulcers was on its largest size on the 4th day and then started healing gradually till the 12th day.

      Conclusion: Oral Apthous Ulcers takes one to two weeks in order to complete the healing process.
