Abstract
One 6-month-old of Sturge-Weber syndrome examined with MR imaging and CT scan was reported. Both techniques well demonstrated unilateral cortical atrophy. In the region of parenchymal volume loss, MR better demonstrated thickened cortex and abnormal whiite matter, and prominent epnedymal vein. After Gd-DTPA enhancement, intense enhancement of pial angiomatosis along brain surface was noted. However, CT scan better demonstrated thecalcification. MR and CT scan appear to be complementary in the evaluation of Sturge-Weber syndrome.
