Balloon dilatation of bronchial stenosis in adult: two case report

Stenosis of the proximal airway is one of the most serious clinical condition not only because it can lead torespiratory failure but also because of technical difficulties in surgical treatment. We performed successfuldilatation of the left main bronchus stenosis in two adult patient with bronchial tuberculosis by using aninflatable balloon. Balloon dilation can be considered as an initial method of treatment in patients withtracheobronchial stenosis, especially in cases of non-neoplastic stricture.
