A New Framework to develop Web-based Interactive Tools for Control Education

Abstract

Interactive tools have been established as an excellent complement to control education, helping students in learning complex concepts. A wide variety of different interactive tools have been created using environments as Easy Java Simulations and Sysquake. These tool are very powerful but they are limited to be used in any type of devices, since they require executable files or virtual machines. This paper presents a new framework to develop interactive tools for control education. The interactive tools are developed only with ECMA and W3C standards, what allows them to be used in any device containing a web browser that meets these standards. Implementation issues and some examples are shown.
