Abstract

Properties of electromagnetic waves in the photonic crystal with pores filled with iodine vapor are considered. The conditions of the permittivity resonance appearance in the visible region of the spectrum, caused by the electronic transition in iodine molecules, are determined. For the resonant photonic crystal under study, dispersion curves, group velocities of electromagnetic waves, and reflection spectra are calculated for various globule diameters.
