Thermal systems of conveyer roasting machines

  • Published:
Steel in Translation Aims and scope

Abstract

Approaches to the development of Russian conveyer roasting machines are outlined. As well as design improvements, the thermal systems of machines in the range from OK-108 to OK-520 have been modified. Measures to increase productivity and reduce energy consumption in pellet production are noted. Further development of the thermal system involves the introduction of a three-section drying zone and gas-circulation systems, so as to maximize the utilization of the heat in the roasted pellets and exhaust gases.
