Alat ukur pemeliharaan hubungan perkawinan untuk orang Indonesia: Pengujian properti psikometri
Abstract
Abstract
Relationship maintenance is intended to maintain the desired relationship characteristics. It is necessary to have specificity in measuring the maintenance of the marital relationship that can be used in Indonesian culture and language because there are no studies focusing on this theme. This study aims to develop a measure of behavior to maintain marital relations based on seven dimensions of positivity, assurances, self-disclosure, relationship talks, understanding, tasks, and network. This research is a quantitative descriptive study because it aims to determine the psychometric characteristics of measuring instruments. A total of 199 subjects are heterosexual couples who are married. The preparation of this scale is carried out through the steps of concept construction, item preparation, item review as well as validity and reliability testing. Validity tests include Aiken's content validity, construct validity with confirmatory factor analysis, and criterion validity that is correlated with marital satisfaction. This research produced 34 items of marital maintenance relationship behavior scale with adequate psychometric properties in each dimension. This scale can be used to answer questions related to relationship maintenance. Future scale development is discussed in this paper.
