본 연구는 광주지역 MICE 참가자를 대상으로 광주지역의 관광자원의 가치를 평가하는데 있어서 지역주민과 외래 방문객이 어떠한 차이를 나타내는가를 살펴보고, 이와 같은 관광자원에 대한 가치인식이 그들의 추천의도에 영향을 미치는가를 비교하였다. 본 연구에 이용된 자료는 2016년 10월 28일부터 11월 4일까지 김대중컨벤션센터 방문객으로부터 수집하였다. 최종적으로 322부의 자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 광주지역 관광자원은 문화예술, 근대문화유산, 민주·인권, 풍류문화, 레저·휴양, 음식문화 요인 등으로 축약되었다. 둘째, 여성은 문화예술, 근대문화유산, 음식문화요인을 높게 평가한 반면 남성은 레저·휴양요인을 높게 평가하였다. 셋째, 20대 이하는 민주·인권요인을 제외한 모든 관광자원에 대해 높게 평가하였으며, 50대 이상은 민주·인권요인을 높게 평가하였다. 넷째, 지역주민은 민주·인권요인, 방문객은 레저·휴양요인을 높게 평가하고 있었다. 다섯째, 지역주민의 추천의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인은 민주·인권요인으로 나타난 반면 외래방문객의 추천의도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 요인으로는 풍류문화요인, 음식문화요인 민주·인권요인의 순으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 연구결과를 통하여 도출할 수 있는 이론적ㆍ실무적 시사점을 논의하였다. 향후 광주지역 관광전략으로서 현대사회에서 건강에 관심이 많고 스트레스에 지친 사람들에게 건강한 슬로우푸드와 위로형 힐링서비스를 제공하는 힐링추구형 슬로우 트래블 모델을 제시할 수 있다.
This study aimed to identify the difference of perceived value of local tourism resource among residents and visitors, and investigate the effect of perceived value of local tourism resources on intention of recommendation among residents and visitors. The data were collected from MICE participants held in Kimdaejung Convention Center in Gwangju from October 28 to November 4, 2016, and finally a total of 362 questionnaires were analyzed. Six dimensions of local tourism resources in Gwangju were identified as follows; art culture, early modern cultural heritage, democratic & human rights, traditional slow life, leisure & recreation, and culinary culture. The results of average comparisons were as follows: First, female highly evaluated art culture, early modern cultural heritage, and culinary culture factors, but male highly evaluated leisure & recreation factor. Second, subject in their twenties or younger highly evaluated all tourism resource factors except democratic & human rights, and those over fifty highly evaluated democratic & human rights factor. Third, residents highly evaluated democratic & human rights factor, but visitors highly evaluated leisure & recreation factor. The results of multiple regressions indicated that democratic & human rights factor affected intention of recommendation among the residents group, while traditional slow life, culinary culture and democratic & human rights factors affected intention of recommendation among the visitors group. Based on findings, theoretical and practical implications were discussed. The slow travel model providing healthy slow food and mental wellbeing to modern daily life was suggested as a destination marketing strategy for Gwangju in the future.
