초록

이 연구는 성인 백서를 대상으로 8주간의 규칙적인 운동(수영운동, 트레드밀 운동)을 실시하여 운동이 해마 치상회의 신경세포 dendritic lengths와 synapsinⅠ 수준에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 24주령의 Sprague-Dawley계 수컷 흰쥐 24마리를 통제집단(COG; n=8), 수영운동집단(SEG; n=8), 트레드밀 운동집단(TEG, n=8)으로 무선 배정하였다. 수영운동과 트레드밀 운동은 하루 50분씩 주 5회 8주간 실시하였다. 수영운동은 자유수영운동의 형태로 실시하였으며, 트레드밀 운동은 시간과 강도별 프로토콜에 따라 실시하였다. 신경세포의 dendritic lengths를 알아보기 위해 면역조직화학염색을 실시하였고, 웨스턴 블랏을 이용하여 synapsinⅠ단백질의 발현을 알아보았다. 이상의 실험결과 통제집단에 비해 수영운동집단과 트레드밀 운동집단의 해마 치상회에서 doublecortin(DCX) 양성 세포수와 dendritic lengths가 유의하게 증가하였으며, 신경연접 단백질인 synapsinⅠ의 발현도 유의하게 증가하였지만 운동 형태간의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과로 보아 규칙적인 운동은 해마 치상회에서 미성숙한 신경세포의 발달과 신경연접가소성을 증가시키는 것으로 사료된다.
