교과서에 대한 은유분석

: 교직수업 참여 학생을 중심으로

이 연구에서는 교직과정을 이수하는 예비교사들의 ‘교과서’와 관련한 경험을 분석하고 이에 근거하여 시사점을 도출하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 현재 교직과목을 수강하는 학생 33명을 대상으로 교육학 박사학위자 1인과의 협업을 통해 은유분석을 수행하였다. 33명의 은유를 유형화한 결과, ①시험 준비를 위한 도구(5명), ②학생의 사고를 제한하는 틀(5명), ③학습의 기초이자 심화학습의 토대(11명), ④활용방식에 따라 달라지는 것(3명), ⑤무용지물(9명) 등 총 5개의 유형이 도출되었다. 이를 바탕으로 교사교육 및 교과서정책 방향에 대해 제안하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 교사교육에 있어 학생의 과거 및 현재 경험을 되새겨보도록 하는 기회가 자주 주어져야 한다. 둘째, 교사들이 가진 교과서에 대한 관념을 바꿀 필요가 있다. 셋째, 이를 위해서는 우리나라의 교과서정책 모토가 바뀌어야 한다. 넷째, EBS교재-수능 연계정책 등 대학 입학 관련 제도 및 정책의 전반적인 개편이 필요하다. 교과서를 개발하고 공급하는 것은 교수·학습이 실제 이루어지는 학교현장을 목표로 하는 것인 만큼, 현장의 목소리를 제대로 듣고 제도와 정책에 반영할 필요가 있을 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the recognition of textbooks from pre-service teachers and to draw implications for them. Textbooks are reported in the media as a sensitive issue in Korea and obligation to use textbooks is legally imposed in schools. For this purpose, 33 students who are currently attending teaching classes are asked to express their experiences related to textbooks in the past in the form of metaphors and describe the reasons for them. Metaphysical analysis was performed through collaborative work with Doctor of Education and we derived implications according to the analysis results. The results of the typology of 33 metaphors are as follows: ①Tools for preparing the exam(5), ②Framework for restricting students thinking(5), ③Basis of learning and foundation of deepening learning(11), ④What depends on the utilization method(3), ⑤obsolete items(9). Negative perceptions about textbooks are ①, ②, ⑤ type, positive recognition is ③ type, and ④ type is neutral. Based on this, we suggest the directions of teacher education and textbook policy as follows: First, opportunities for recalling students past and present experiences in teacher education should be given frequently. Second, it is necessary to change the notion of teachers textbooks. Third, for this purpose, the policy motto of textbooks in Korea should be changed. Fourth, it is necessary to reform the system and policies related to university admission to solve the learning burden of the students by the EBS-book which works as another textbook at the school site and the collapsed school site. Developing and supplying textbooks are aimed at the school site where the teaching and learning are actually carried out, therefore the voice of the field should be reflected in the system and policy.
