DETERMINATION OF MAINTENANCE STRATEGY FOR POWER TRANSFORMERS WITH K-MEANS CLUSTERING METHOD

Öz

As a result of
modernization and development of technology, demand of electrical energy
increased. Thus, network stabilization, reliability of energy system, service
to customer and power quality becomes more crucial. Especially, assets in
transmission system, such as power transformers, have a vital role because of
the probability of effect to the whole network. Recently, electric utilities
with deregulation and competitive market structure are focused reducing
operational costs and increasing life expectancy of the assets with some
strategies. For instance, diversify of maintenance strategies and particular
instruments of condition monitoring. In this study, it is adverted commonly
preferred maintenance strategies and power transformer condition monitoring
methods. Subsequently, a case study about the determination of correct
maintenance strategy for power transformers is applied with K-Means clustering
method.

K-ORTALAMALAR KÜMELEME YÖNTEMİ İLE GÜÇ TRANSFORMATÖRLERİNİN BAKIM STRATEJİLERİNİN BELİRLENMESİ

Öz

Teknolojik
gelişmelere bağlı olarak elektrik enerjisine olan ihtiyacın hızla artması
sebebiyle, güç transformatörlerinde oluşabilecek arızaların sosyal hayata ve
ekonomik gelişime etkilerinin kritik bir öneme sahip olduğu açıktır. Çeşitli
sebeplere bağlı olarak, güç transformatörlerinde oluşabilecek arızalar,
sensörler ve bakım-onarım yöntemleri sayesinde, meydana gelmeden veya başlangıç
aşamasında tespit edilebilmektedir. Bu makalede, meydana gelmiş arıza istatistikleri
incelenerek, transformatörlerin yaşları, yüklenme oranları ve güçleri dikkate
alınarak uygun bakım-onarım yönteminin belirlenmesine yönelik bir çalışma
yapılmıştır. Belirli bir transformatör grubuna uygun bakım-onarım yönteminin
belirlenmesine yönelik bir yaklaşım olması açısından K-ortalamalar algoritması
tercih edilmiştir. Kümeleme sonuçları yorumlanmış ve güç transformatörlerine
uygun bakım-onarım yöntemleri belirlenmiştir.
