Funções Orofaciais nos Diferentes Tipos de Fissura Labiopalatina

Introdução: fissura labiopalatina (FLP) trata-se de malformação congênita orofacial, com grande incidência e etiologia multifatorial, sendo, em geral, classificada em três grupos, afetando: apenas lábio; apenas palato; lábio e palato. Objetivo: analisar o que a literatura fonoaudiológica apresenta sobre achados referentes a funções orofaciais em diferentes tipos de fissura labiopalatina. Métodos: realizada revisão de literatura acerca de funções orofaciais em indivíduos com FLP, nas bases de dados BVSalud e PubMed, sobre o tema central, excluindo os estudos de revisão, relato de caso e que não especificavam o tipo de fissura na casuística, bem como que incluía associação da FLP a outras síndromes/comorbidades. Resultados: decorrente da estratégia de busca, incluiu-se 39 publicações, predominantemente, originadas da BVSalud. Encontrou-se, majoritariamente, quanto ao tipo de estudo observacional transversal e quanto ao tipo de fissura, fissura de lábio e palato, sendo menos encontrados estudos que abordavam fisssura submucosa. Em relação às funções orofaciais e tipos de FLP, os achados, predominantemente, encontrados foram de função de respiração e, com menor predominância, de função de deglutição. Conclusão: Foi possível identificar que os indivíduos com fissura apresentaram consequências em todas as funções orofaciais.
