본 연구의 목적은 스트레스 과정 모델을 바탕으로 청소년의 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 주요스트레스요인(학대경험, 친구스트레스, 학업스트레스)이 결과요인인 우울과 자살생각에 이르는 경로를 살펴보는 것이다. 이를 위해 1990년부터 1월부터 2012년 6월까지 청소년 자살생각과 관련된 주제의 433개 연구물을 메타분석하였으며, 메타분석된 상관행렬을 경로분석에 적용하여 본 연구의 연구모형을 분석하였다. 분석결과, 학대경험, 친구스트레스, 학업스트레스, 사회적지지, 자아존중감은 우울에, 학대경험, 사회적지지, 우울은 자살생각에 직접 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 친구스트레스는 사회적지지, 우울을 통해 자살생각에 간접적으로 영향을 미치며, 학업스트레스는 자아존중감, 우울을 통해 자살생각에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 학대경험, 친구스트레스, 학업스트레스의 스트레스요인이 결과요인인 우울 및 자살생각에 이르는 경로에서 주요한 심리사회적 자원인 사회적지지와 자아존중감의 매개효과가 부분적으로 검증되었다. 이상의 결과를 바탕으로 연구의 의의와 함의를 논의하였다.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of stressors(abuse experience, friendship-related stress, and academic stress) on depression and suicidal ideation among adolescents. The study model derived from the stress process model. In order to accomplish this purpose, 433 existing studies investigating suicidal ideation-related topics were analyzed by a meta-analysis technique. For data analysis, journals, theses, and dissertations published between January, 1990 and July, 2012 were reviewed systematically. Correlations of these variables were analyzed from the data and the obtained correlation matrices were analyzed to test the appropriateness of the hypothesized model, using the structural path analysis. Data were analyzed using Meta-Analysis software 2.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results were as follows. Abuse experience, friendship-related stress, social support and self-esteem had a direct effect on depression. Abuse experience, social support and depression had firsthand impact on suicidal ideation. In addition, it was found that sociopsychological resources, social support and self-esteem played a mediating role in the associations between the stressors and their consequences. The implications and limitations of this research are discussed.
