Abstract

Ovarian leiomyomas are rare tumors seen in the reproductive age group. They are usually asymptomatic
and diagnosed incidentally. Because of their solid nature, ovarian leiomyomas mimic malignant tumours.
It needs to be distinguished from other solid tumors of the ovary like fibroma and thecoma. The origin of
the tumour is still controversial. Here we present an ovarian leiomyoma with degenerative changes.

Keywords: Ovarian leiomyoma, Degenerated, Solid ovarian mass.
