Kurzfassung
The associated dataset shows the visualisation of the measured sound field in a lecture hall. Using the setup described by Witew et al. [https://doi.org/10.1121/1.4978022] impulse responses were automatically sampled over a surface of 5.3 m x 8.0 m in a 5 cm resolution. Through a series of repeated sets of measurements at different locations in the hall the sampling area of the array was extended to 10.0 m x 15.0 m. The animation gives an account how sound propagates in the auditorium when excited with an impulse. It can be seen how the direct sound is scattered from the rows of classroom style seating and how sound is reflected and scattered from the different walls of the room. A detailed analysis of the sound propagation is given by Witew and Vorländer [http://dx.doi.org/10.18154/RWTH-2018-228715].
