Abstract:
This study demonstrated that an endophytic bacterial strain TB2 (Bacillus amyloliquefaciens) had a good control effect on litchi downy blight disease (Peronophthora litchi). The control effect was 67.07% in 6 d after inoculation with strain TB2. The control mechanism could be that the endophytic bacterial increased the activities of -1,3-glucanase and chitinase, 175.00 and 220.04%, higher than that of control in the 6 d after inoculation with the strain TB2, and also increased the contents of glutathione (GSH) and ascorbic acid (ASA), 10.66 and 86.65% separate.
However, the activities of peroxidase (POD) and polyphenol oxidase (PPO) (37.57 and 23.97%) were still lower.
