Dinukleare cofaciale Metallocyclen mit Kupfer und Nickel: Synthese und Struktur / Binuclear Cofacial Metallocycles of Copper and Nickel: Synthesis and Structure

The synthesis and characterization of six binuclear copper(II) and nickel(II) metallocycles [M2(L1−3)2] 7, starting from pyridyl-, phenyl- or naphthyl-spacered vinylogous amide ligands H2L 6, are reported. [Cu2(L3)2] 7e forms an inclusion compound [Cu2(L3)2(Py)2] 8 with two molecules of pyridine bound to the copper centers inside the cage. The structures of the metallocycles 7a, 7d, 8 were determined by X-ray diffraction analyses.
