Abstract
This research introduces a methodology of error analysis classification based on teaching-learning human translation. The errors have been committed by students of the fourth-year Translation and Interpreting Degree (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain). This analysis uses 69 official translation scripts and papers (English-Spanish) representing different text typologies of specialised discourse. The main purposes of the study were to classify translation errors and analyse the possible reasons for them. The final goal is to acquaint the student and the lecturer with the most frequent types of errors in the hope that this will help both communities to avoid them.
