Synthese und Reaktivität eines Azavinyliden(hydrido)osmium-Komplexes / Synthesis and Reactivity of a Azavinylidene(hydrido)osmium Complex

The azavinylidene osmium complex [OsH(=N=CPh2)(CO)(PiPr3)2] (2) is prepared either from [OsHCl(CO)(PiPr3)2] (1) and MN=CPh2 (M = Li, Na) or from [OsHCl(NH=CPh2)(CO)(PiPr3)2] (3) by HCl elimination with ΚΟ-t-Bu. The IR and NMR spectroscopic data of 2 provide evidence that a linear Os—N—C unit is present. Complex 2 reacts with CH3OH to give the isomeric ortho-metallated compound [OsH{NH=C(Ph)C6H4}(CO)(PiPr3)2] (5). With CD3OD instead of CH3OH, the mono-deuterated derivative [OsH{ND=C(Ph)C6H4}(CO)(PiPr3)2] (5-d1) is obtained.
