The microwave spectra of ¹⁷OPF₃ and ³³SPF₃ were investigated by Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy and the ¹⁷O and ³³S quadrupole coupling constants were determined. The ¹⁷O coupling constant is compared with several others from related phosphine oxides to characterize the π-bonding in these systems.
