Abstract: Teaching fear is a kind of defensive reaction emerging in the situation where both teachers and students are confronted with some dangerous circumstances, and want to avoid their adverse impacts. This reaction is accompanied by insecurity, feeling of crisis and impotence, and other emotional experiences. Teaching fear will separate the teachers’ teaching and hinder the development of students. Three countermeasures are listed as follows: firstly, we should make use of positive factors skillfully to face fear directly; secondly, we are supposed to pluck up sufficient courage to overcome fear; thirdly, we should arouse heart resonance between teachers and students to surmount fear.
