Abstract: To summarize study development of traditional Chinese medicine treatment on dry eyes from clinical and experimental research in five years.Clinical research includes therapy research including method of tonifying liver and kidney,nourishing liver and brightening eyes,soothing liver and nourishing yin,nourishing blood and eyes,activating blood and tonifying spleen,moisturizing dryness and brightening eyes,tonifying blood and qi,replenishing qi and nourishing yin and eyes,treatment with syndrome differentiation,proved recipe,Chinese patent drug,acupuncture and moxibustion,spray and steaming of Chinese medicine and massage.In vivo research and vitro cell research showed that Chinese drug flavonoid such as buddleja officinalis flavone has better effects for dry eyes with experimental castration.
