Abstract: The author of this article interpreted the ways commonly used in treating liver such as soothing the liver,relaxing the tension of liver,nourishing the liver,tonifying the liver,calming the liver,removing heat from the liver and purging the liver of pathogenic fire,and frthermore,discussed the experiences in seven aspects about using the ways of treating liver for clinic syndromes,as follows:using spicy dispersing drugs in conjunction with sour apocrustic drugs,regarding the way of soothing with sour apocrustic drugs,regarding the way of soothing the liver as the universal way for treating liver,taking the liver as the universal way for treating liver,taking the ward of the liver-yin into consideration when using the way of treating liver,flexibly employing the way of nourishing the!liver-yin,strengthening the spleen is the way of preventing and curing for treating liver,regulating the liver firstly for viscera related diseases,illustrating by the exertion of mongolian snakegourd and bupleurum root,with the purpose of flexibly employing the ways of treating liver to cure miscellaneous diseases in internal medicine.
