? ＜Abstract＞砄bjective:To study the mechanisms of Xongdanniuhuang capsules(XDNHC)treating acute upper respiratory tract infection(common cold)for developing a new drug.Method:The antiviral effect of the drug was observed both in vitro and in vivo with common method.Result:XDNHC has an inhibitory effect on six kinds of virus in vivo,especially HVJ and CoxB 4 The drug was also found to inhibit peneumonia induced by influenza virus in mice and decrease death rate of mice infected with influenza virus obviously.Conclusion:XDNHC has a sound antiviral effect,and is an efficient new drug treating common cold. 〔
