Although somatic embryogenesis in melon (Cucumis melo L.) has been reported by many workers, variations in the regenerated plants were not observed. In this report, morpholog-ical variations in leaf and fruit were studied among the plants derived from somatic embryos in melon. When the regenerated plants (Ro) were cultured in a green house, 52%f of them showed leaves with sinus and 31% of them set flat fruits (Table 1).
