Experiment Study on the Two-Parameter Values of Laterally Loaded Pile in Loess Foundation
In order to comprehensively understand pile-soil interaction properties of laterally loaded pile in loess foundation, to improve the level of theory and design of laterally loaded pile in loess, a laboratory test was carried out for an aluminum pipe pile in loess under horizontal loads.
Based on the test, the composite stiffness principle and biparameter method was applied to calculate the deflection, rotation, maximum bending moment and its location of laterally loaded pile in loess. Relationship between bending moments and embedment depth of pile in loess under horizontal
loads was analyzed. Through the analyzing of test data, the two-parameter of laterally loaded pile in loess foundation was obtained. The deficiency was made up for composite stiffness principle and biparameter method which lacked the two-parameter of pile in loess. The obtained two-parameter
in this paper has certain significance to both theoretical research and practical engineering.
