Abstract

The binder phase alloy (W‐Co) is selectively leached from WC‐6% Co cemented carbide pieces in tumbled and packed bed electrolytic systems in dilute solutions of phosphoric acid. The application of the results to Co‐WC separation in hard metal alloy scrap recycling is discussed.
