Pratical Introduction to Internet of Things: Practice using Arduino and Node.js

Published:08 November 2016Publication History

ABSTRACT

The Internet of Things brings the idea of "all connected", from television that choose the schedule according to the viewer's preference to cars that select the fastest path to the desired point. With the Web access expansion not only computing devices such as laptops, personal computers and smartphones but also equipment such as refrigerators, television, among others, the communication and automation possibilities expand and cities, homes and smart environments become one reality. This short paper aims to explore the potential of this technology by presenting the necessary steps to develop a simple application that uses the Arduino platform and framework Node.js
