ABSTRACT
In this paper, we present work in progress on distributed mobile audio games. We outline some of our areas of exploration along with how these types of games may be particularly useful in educational environments that require training in, for example, mixing, spatial sound and orchestration.

Personalizing game content using audio-visual media
ACE '05: Proceedings of the 2005 ACM SIGCHI International Conference on Advances in computer entertainment technologyThis paper introduces the concept of media-controlled games, where game content is personalized using audio-visual media as an input to the game. Each piece of background music or picture selected by the player makes the game look different and behave ...
Audio Habits and Motivations in Video Game Players
AM '19: Proceedings of the 14th International Audio Mostly Conference: A Journey in SoundGame music is increasingly being explored in terms of empirical effects on players, but we know very little about how players actually perceive and use background music in games, and why. We conducted a survey (N=737) to gain an understanding of players'...
